Series: Anchored in Christ- Day 1

Day 1. Christ Our Anchor

Scripture

Hebrews 6:19 (KJV)

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.

Reflection

Hope holds like an anchor.

The word picture reaches the heart because every soul longs for steady ground. Scripture reveals a hope that rests in Christ Himself. He secures us within the presence of God. The line runs through seasons of calm and seasons of strain and still holds firm.

This anchor does more than resist waves. It keeps the inner life from drifting. Thoughts stay set on promise. Prayer rises with confidence. Peace grows in the middle of busy hours. The Lord placed His oath and His promise before us, and both stand with holy strength. When the mind returns to this hope, courage returns as well. Christ remains near as a sure anchor, present in every season and faithful through every turn.

Application

Begin the day by naming the hope you carry in Christ with a simple sentence of praise. Place Hebrews 6:19 where you will see it. When a task feels larger than your strength, pause and say, My anchor holds in Christ. Then continue with a steady pace. Share this hope with a friend who needs encouragement.

May the Lord fasten your soul to His faithful heart and fill your hours with quiet confidence.
