The Eternal Word
Before there was time.
Before the stars burned their light into the darkness.
The Lord God was.
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in perfect glory.
The Son, the eternal Word, was with God and was God.
Through Him all things were made. Without Him nothing came into being.
By His word the heavens and the angelic hosts appeared.
By His hand the earth was formed and filled with life.
The First Garden
God planted a garden, pure and uncorrupted.
Man and woman, made in His image, walked with Him without fear.
The creation sang in harmony with its Maker.
But an enemy moved in the shadows.
The serpent spoke lies to the ones God loved.
They turned from His command, and the fellowship was broken.
Sin entered. Death followed.
The ground was cursed. The creation began to groan.
The Long Shadow
From that day the world was changed.
Nations rose and fell. Violence filled the earth.
People worshipped what their hands had made and forgot the One who formed them.
Yet God’s promise remained.
He would send a Redeemer.
One who would crush the serpent’s head.
One who would bring life where there was only death.
Through the prophets the promise echoed.
Through covenant and sacrifice the way was prepared.
The Promise Arrives
In the fullness of time, the eternal Word entered His creation.
Born of a virgin, laid in a manger, He came as a humble servant.
He grew in wisdom and stature.
He healed the sick.
He gave sight to the blind.
He stilled the storm.
He raised the dead.
The Kingdom of God had drawn near.
The Cross
The rulers of this world rejected Him.
He was betrayed, arrested, mocked, and beaten.
They nailed Him to a cross.
But in this seeming defeat, the greatest victory was won.
On that cross He took our sin upon Himself.
He bore the judgment we deserved.
The curse was broken. The debt was paid in full.
The Empty Tomb
On the third day the stone was rolled away.
The grave was empty.
The Lord of Glory had risen.
He appeared to His disciples.
He spoke peace to the fearful.
He restored the broken.
He gave them a mission: to proclaim His victory to the ends of the earth.
The King Who Reigns
He ascended to the right hand of the Father, crowned with glory and honor.
From there He pours out the Holy Ghost upon His people.
And He will come again in power and great glory.
Every eye shall see Him. Every knee shall bow.
Your Invitation
This is the story you are being invited into.
The Lord calls you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
He calls you to turn from sin and to trust in Him.
He offers you life that will never end.
The war is real. The victory is certain. The Redeemer reigns.
The Gospel of Christ: From Eternity to Eternity
The Gospel is not a fragment of history.
It is the eternal counsel of God revealed in time and brought to completion in Christ.
It is the declaration that the Lord Jesus Christ is King over heaven and earth, that He has triumphed over sin, death, and the powers of darkness, and that He will reign forever.
Christ Before All Worlds
Before the first moment, before the first star lit the heavens, the Lord Jesus Christ was.
The Scripture declares:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1 KJV).
The Son is not a created being.
He is eternal, sharing in the glory of the Father and the fellowship of the Spirit from everlasting to everlasting.
All things were created by Him, through Him, and for Him.
The angels of heaven worshipped Him before the worlds began.
The thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers of the invisible realm were established by His authority.
The Creation of the World
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
The creation reflected His wisdom, power, and goodness.
The crown of creation was mankind, made in His image to bear His likeness and to rule the earth under His authority.
In the cool of the day, God walked with man.
There was no fear. There was no curse. The earth was filled with peace.
The Entrance of Sin
The harmony of creation was shattered when sin entered the world.
The serpent, full of deceit, tempted man and woman to doubt the Word of God.
They chose their own way, and in that choice they fell.
The Scripture declares:
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12 KJV).
Sin was not only an act. It was a spiritual rebellion that corrupted the heart, darkened the mind, and enslaved the will.
The creation itself was subjected to vanity. The fellowship between God and man was broken. The earth became a battlefield.
The Promise of Redemption
Yet in the day of man’s fall, God gave a promise.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel (Genesis 3:15 KJV).
This is the first prophecy of the Christ.
From that moment onward, the history of the world became the history of redemption.
Through Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and David, the Lord revealed His plan.
Through the Law, the sacrifices, and the prophets, He pointed to the One who would come to take away the sin of the world.
The Incarnation of the Son
When the fullness of time was come, the eternal Son entered His creation.
Born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Ghost, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
The prophet had spoken:
Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14 KJV).
He came not in the splendor of earthly kings but in humility.
The angels announced His birth to shepherds in the fields.
The wise men came from afar, guided by a star, to worship the King who had come.
The Ministry of the King
The Spirit of the Lord was upon Him.
He preached the Gospel to the poor, healed the brokenhearted, and set the captives free.
He opened blind eyes, cleansed the leper, and stilled the storm.
Devils fled from His presence.
The Scripture was fulfilled in Him:
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up (Matthew 4:16 KJV).
Every miracle was a sign of the Kingdom breaking into the world.
Every word carried the authority of heaven.
The Cross of Christ
The rulers of this world conspired against Him.
They delivered Him to be scourged and crucified.
Yet the cross was not the victory of His enemies; it was the triumph of the Son of God.
On the cross, He bore the full weight of our sins.
He became the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world.
The prophet Isaiah foresaw it:
He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 KJV).
By His death, the debt of sin was paid in full.
The handwriting of ordinances that was against us was taken out of the way, nailed to His cross.
The Resurrection of the Lord
On the third day, the tomb was empty.
The angels declared:
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said (Matthew 28:6 KJV).
The resurrection was the Father’s seal upon the work of the Son.
It declared Him to be the Son of God with power.
It proved that sin had been conquered and death defeated.
It gave the assurance that all who belong to Him will rise in glory.
The Ascension and Present Reign
The risen Lord ascended to the right hand of the Father.
He was given a name above every name.
From His throne He pours out the Holy Ghost upon His people.
He ever lives to make intercession for the saints.
All authority in heaven and earth has been given unto Him.
The Return of the King
The story moves toward its appointed end.
The Lord Jesus will return in power and glory.
The kingdoms of this world will become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ.
Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
The creation will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The Call of the Gospel
The Gospel is not only to be heard. It is to be believed and obeyed.
The Lord calls every man and woman to repent, to turn from sin, and to trust in Him.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out (Acts 3:19 KJV).
This is the summons of the King.
Those who receive Him are given the right to become the sons of God.
Those who refuse remain under judgment.
The Life of the Redeemed
The redeemed are called to follow Christ as disciples.
They are to read His Word daily, to pray without ceasing, to join in fellowship with His people, and to walk in holiness.
They are to bear witness to the truth, to stand against the darkness, and to live in the hope of His coming.
The Eternal Kingdom
The Lamb who was slain shall reign forever.
His servants shall see His face.
There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.
The former things shall pass away.
